About Kim
After an idyllic childhood on a farm in Iowa, Kimberly Witt received her English teaching degree from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. Following a meet-cute made for the movies, she moved with her husband to Southwest Missouri where she launched her teaching career and pursued her master’s degree from Missouri State University. Kim and Chris relocated to Northwest Iowa where she invested more years shaping lives in the public schools. Her teaching career added additional titles to her resume: middle school cheer coach, yearbook and newspaper advisor, and speech coach. The lessons she learned in her classroom — like the time a student read explicit poetry in front of the principal during a teaching observation — could fill multiple volumes.
Eventually, the Witts added to their family through adoption, welcoming two boys with boundless energy. This meant Kim added more titles to that resume: soccer mom, sneaker aficionado, and Celtics supporter. After the family moved to their current home — St. Paul, Minnesota — Kim transitioned to a college classroom, spending time with young adults finding their voice and calling while also beginning to build her freelance writing portfolio.
Now, she’s proud to call herself a teacher and a writer, using both these skills to help businesses and individuals discover their voices. With tailored writing solutions and services, Kim is here to help you tell your story.
When she’s not writing, she’s babysitting her pandemic sourdough starter, running or hiking on one of Minnesota’s amazing trails, cheering for the Celtics and Iowa State Cyclones, and watching reruns of M*A*S*H with her husband.
